Kids
Kelton’s vast institutional knowledge—and reputation for integrity—is derived from our lengthy experience qualitatively and quantitatively surveying children on behalf of some of America’s biggest brands, including HIT Entertainment (whose products include Barney, Bob the Builder, Wiggles, and Thomas the Tank Engine), Roxy, and Nintendo.
Our creative surveys have garnered not only strategic insights but also media attention for our clients. Kelton created the Embassy Suites Kids’ Concierge Guide, a Zagat-style guide covering kids’ favorite activities in the nation’s Top 20 media markets. We interviewed children in each city to find out their favorite places: ice cream shops, burger joints, museums, and more. Parents now use the “Kids-Eye View” guide to make their stays more fun, while Embassy Suites can boast of being the most kid-friendly hotel in the U.S. For Doubletree Hotels we spoke with both Moms and kids—specifically 3rd-graders—to gauge their awareness and attitudes regarding environmental issues. Conducted in concert with an on-premise tree planting initiative at its hotels nationwide, the Doubletree "Caring About America" Survey was a resounding success with surprising results, showing that kids had unexpected savvy about the other three “R’s”— reduce, reuse and recycle!
We use different polling and survey techniques depending on the age and gender of the youngsters you’re targeting. We of course obtain parental consent for any type of interview, focus group or poll, and our skilled interviewers have the experience and know-how to put both kids and their parents at ease.![]()
