Tom Bernthal, CEO & Founder

Kelton Research founder and CEO, Emmy Award winner, and marketing guru Tom Bernthal has been a driving force behind the success of Kelton, recently spotlighted by Inc. magazine as the nation's fastest growing national market research consultancy. Tom has personally strategized for more than 50 of the Fortune 500 – including Wal-Mart, General Electric, Ford, Bank of America, Disney and Microsoft.

Tom enjoys the intellectual challenge of discovering fresh insights and then translating those findings into new directions and opportunities for clients. Kelton's clients seem to agree: the company has grown a remarkable 400% over the past three years, almost entirely through word-of-mouth referrals. And Kelton's surveys are regularly quoted and featured in prominent media outlets such as The New York Times, the Washington Post, CBS, NBC, Time and Newsweek.

Tom's passion for marketing and journalism began early.  While his buddies at the University of Wisconsin – Madison were drinking beer, Tom was busy running a student marketing agency and publishing The Daily Cardinal, the nation’s third oldest collegiate newspaper. But don’t worry – Tom left enough time to put down a few cold ones himself.
